5 Reasons you should book a family holiday to Ibiza
This is a collaborative post.
I think you should consider booking a family holiday to Ibiza and here is why. Ibiza is a beautiful Mediterranean island located off the east coast of Spain. It’s known for its stunning beaches, vibrant nightlife and stunning scenery, making it an ideal destination for a family holiday.
With its great selection of activities, attractions and accommodation options, Ibiza is the perfect place to relax and enjoy quality time with your family.
From exploring the ancient ruins to taking part in water sports or simply soaking up the sun on one of its many beaches, your family will have plenty of fun-filled memories to take away from their holiday in Ibiza. Here are 5 great reasons you should holiday in Ibiza.

There are quiet areas on the island
When you think of Ibiza it is easy to only think of partying and clubs with late nights, noise and drunken youngsters. This, of course, is the case in some areas but there are many quiet areas too perfect for a family holiday to Ibiza.
The Invisa Figueral Resort is perfect for a family holiday to Ibiza, it is in San Carlos and is just 10km from Santa Eulalia on the Eastern coast. They have so many activities for children but also plenty for adults to do too so you won’t want to come home.
Great weather
Ibiza has great weather for a number of months of the year. Whilst the peak of summer is the hottest and also the busiest, you will still enjoy a lovely holiday with good weather in June and might save some money too avoiding the school holiday prices!
If you are looking to save money but still need to go in the school holidays then opting for May or October would still be a lovely holiday and significantly cheaper than July and August as well as a bit cooler and more bearable for youngsters.
Beautiful beaches
Ibiza is one of the Balearic Islands and as such it has gorgeous beaches. The quieter more family-friendly beaches are found on the North and east coasts of the island. If you are looking for a smoke-friendly beach then head to Platja de Santa Eularia, the first smoke-free beach on Ibiza.
Beaches in Ibiza are not only perfect for playing and building sandcastles but also for watersports if you have older children who enjoy these. You really can’t go on a family holiday to Ibiza and not visit a beach!
Good food
Ibiza has some of the best food around. If you’re looking for delicious food to feed your family while in Ibiza, you’re in luck! From traditional Spanish cuisine to exotic fusion dishes, there are plenty of options to choose from.
With everything from traditional restaurants, street vendors, and even home-cooked meals that will make your stay in Ibiza unforgettable! Every town will have a variety of eateries to try so why not look online first and see what is available in your preferred resorts to see if it suits you? Why not also plan to try some traditional Ibiza dishes during your family holiday to Ibiza?
Lots of history
Ibiza is an old island with a history back as far as 654 BC when Phoenician settlers founded a port there and parts of the island are registered as UNESCO world heritage sites.
Whether you visit the old churches and town centres or the Can Marça Caves there is history aplenty in Ibiza, you can even visit the remains of the first Phoenician settlement at Sa Caleta.
The Can Marça Caves are 1000,000 years old and used to be a popular haunt by smugglers who wanted to hide whatever they were smuggling in at the time. There are great boat trips from San Antonio to the caves and along the coastline, you might want to consider.
If you are a family that enjoys hiking then there is a 3km easy walk along the only river in Ibiza where you can visit an old flour mill if that is something that takes your fancy.
